These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and BriBuddy. By creating an account or using our website, mobile application, or services, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use BriBuddy.
Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly notify us of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may not create an account for another person without permission or use BriBuddy if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.
Acceptable use
BriBuddy is a student collaboration service. You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, discriminate against, or endanger another person.
- Share unlawful, deceptive, sexually exploitative, hateful, malicious, or privacy-invasive material.
- Cheat, facilitate academic dishonesty, infringe intellectual-property rights, or distribute content you do not have permission to use.
- Spam users, scrape data, probe security, bypass access controls, introduce malware, or interfere with service operation.
- Use another person’s account, collect sensitive information without consent, or use BriBuddy for unauthorized commercial activity.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant BriBuddy a limited, worldwide license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit it. You may delete content where product controls allow, subject to backups, legal obligations, and safety retention.
Study relationships and calls
BriBuddy helps users discover and communicate with one another but does not guarantee compatibility, identity, academic outcomes, availability, or conduct. Use good judgment, protect personal information, and report unsafe behavior. Audio and video media is exchanged through client-managed WebRTC connections; users remain responsible for obtaining consent and complying with recording laws.
Moderation and suspension
We may review reports, restrict content, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve relevant records, and cooperate with lawful authorities when reasonably necessary to protect users or enforce these terms. We may act without advance notice in urgent safety, security, fraud, or legal situations.
Service availability
We may update, interrupt, or discontinue features. BriBuddy is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, successful matching, or particular academic results. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BriBuddy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost opportunities, or conduct of other users. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the greater of the amount you paid BriBuddy in the previous twelve months or the minimum amount required by law.
Changes and termination
You may stop using BriBuddy and delete your account at any time. We may revise these terms and will post the updated date; material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
